STAY INFORMED

The challenges and risks associated with COVID-19 are unprecedented.

Our primary focus is to keep people safe across our community services and programs. We know that older people are at risk of contracting coronavirus and having a serious illness as a result.

Guardian Network is doing everything it possibly can to reduce the risk of infection.

We have implemented a range of additional precautionary measures to support our existing, robust infection management and control protocols.

Some of those measures include careful workforce monitoring and management; implementing quarantine periods; closely monitoring clients and staff for risk factors and symptoms of COVID-19; securing supplies; reviewing our infection control protocols; and communicating regularly with staff, clients, families  and contractors.

COVID-19 is spread through close contact with someone who has the virus, contact with droplets from an infected person’s cough or sneeze, and touching surfaces that have droplets from an infected person such as a door handle. Symptoms from COVID-19 may include any of : a runny nose, fever, cough or shortness of breath.

One of the key things everyone in the community can do to reduce the risk of infection is practice social distancing and good hand and cough hygiene.
